Ashley D. Ackerman, M.D.
Ashley Ackerman, MD, of Commonwealth OB-GYN provides skilled obstetric and gynecology services to patients in Brookline, Massachusetts. She is affiliated with Brigham and Women’s Hospital, ranked the number one hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology in the United States according to the 2022 US News and World Report.
A graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Ackerman shares her expertise with students as an instructor at Harvard Medical School. She was selected by her students as an “Outstanding Teacher of Obstetrics and Gynecology” from 2001-2004.
She began her education at Radcliffe College. Harvard University, graduating with honors with a degree in Sociology. After taking post-baccalaureate coursework at Harvard, she attended medical school, graduating cum laude while working as a counselor at an emergency shelter for teenagers.
Dr. Ackerman was a resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. After completing her residency, she joined what was to become Commonwealth OB-GYN while also working part-time at the Martha Eliot Health Center as a staff physician. She has an interest in establishing long term relationships, starting in adolescence through the post-menopausal years. She specializes in wellness and general obstetrics and gynecology.

Charissa J. Pettyjohn, M.D.
Charissa Pettyjohn, MD attended Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, graduating summa cum laude with degrees in psychology and chemistry in 2001. She then attended The Medical College of Wisconsin and received her medical degree in 2005.
Dr. Pettyjohn completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tufts University School of Medicine. She then joined Commonwealth OB-GYN. She has been on the faculty of Harvard Medical School since that time, while maintaining her practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology affiliated with the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Dr. Pettyjohn is board-certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Pettyjohn enjoys building relationships with patients and seeing them at all stages of life. Her particular clinical interests include adolescent gynecology, contraception/family planning, and pregnancy.

Randi D. Leigh, M.D.
Randi Leigh, MD studied at Barnard College in New York, NY and graduated with a bachelor’s of arts in history and political science. She then completed her post-baccalaureate premedical program at Columbia University.
She then earned a master’s degree in public health and her medical doctorate from Drexel University College of Medicine in New Jersey. She completed her residency at Hofstra North Shore LIJ School of Medicine in 2013.
After completing her residency, Dr. Leigh joined Commonwealth OB-GYN. She has been on the faculty of Harvard Medical School since that time, while maintaining a private practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology affiliated with the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Dr. Leigh is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American college of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Leigh is dedicated to providing care to women of all ages. She is fluent in American Sign Language and Spanish.

Hannah Parker, M.D.
Hannah J. Parker, MD studied at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. She then completed her post-baccalaureate premedical program at Bryn Mawr College.
In 1998, Dr. Parker earned her medical doctorate from Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in 2002.
After completing her residency, she became a faculty member at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center until 2007 when she took a sabbatical and spent some time abroad in London to focus on her children and their upbringing. During this time, she focused on developing positive social interactions for mothers in her community. This reignited her passion for obstetrics and she returned to practice at Commonwealth OB-GYN and the faculty of Harvard Medical School in 2011.
Dr. Parker is board-certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Parker’s interests include building healthy communities for mothers and their infants/young children that support breastfeeding, positive childrearing models and supportive social networks.
Remy Van Sanford, MD
Remy Van Sanford, MD, graduated summa cum laude from Emory University in 2011 with a bachelor’s of science in neuroscience and behavioral biology. She was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society and was a four-year member of the women’s rowing team. Dr. Van Sanford then obtained her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in 2015. She completed her residency in obstetric ultrasound and resident training in minimally-invasive laparoscopy. After residency, Dr. Van Sanford practiced for three years as a generalist in Seattle, WA. She is thrilled to be able finally to plant roots back home in the Boston area where she was born and raised.
Dr. Van Sanford is a board-certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In her spare time, Dr. Van Sanford enjoys rowing, running cycling and spending time with her twin daughters and dog, Sawyer.

Regan L. Murchison, MD
Regan L. Murchison, MD received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, graduating summa cum laude and then her medical doctorate at McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas. She then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. After finishing her residency training, she joined a community hospital-based practice at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, Connecticut for three years. Regan then spent a year as traveling physician, practicing obstetrics at various hospital in New England, before joining Commonwealth OB-GYN.
Dr. Murchison is board-certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Murchison enjoys taking care of women in all stages of life, and her clinical interest include contraception, family planning, and pregnancy care.

Jessica Euler, N.P.
Jessica Euler, MSN, CRNP graduated from Boston College in 2002 with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. During her seven years as a critical care nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Johns Hopkins Hospital, she recognized a need in the community to optimize preconception and prenatal health. This inspired her to pursue a career as a Nurse Practitioner. Nurse Practitioner Evler completed her graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania with a master of science degree in nursing specializing in Women’s Health Care. She feels her responsibility as a NP is to empower women to be the best version of themselves and is committed to providing respectful, competent, [and -remove] compassionate care, education and support. NP Euler has a particular interest in adolescent GYN care, family planning and prenatal care. She has been part of the team at Commonwealth OB/GYN since 2009.
Alicia Shulman, N.P.
Alicia Shulman, MSN, CRNP is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology. She received her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of New Hampshire and received her Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College Connell School of Nursing. Before becoming a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, she was a registered nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital on the postpartum, antepartum, and labor and delivery units.
In addition, NP Shulman was the teaching assistant for Boston College’s undergraduate introduction to nursing course and is experienced in childbirth education, infant care, and breastfeeding education.
Her clinical focus has been on obstetrics and clinical interests include prenatal health and management, prenatal education, and urogynecology. She enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients as she cares for them throughout their lifespan.
Fionna Sayegh, NP
Fionna Sayegh, MSN, WHNP-BC is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who brings a wealth of eclectic nursing experience to her work. Fionna graduated from Northeastern University in 2003, earning her bachelor of science in nursing. Prior to heeding her calling in women’s health, Fionna worked as a registered nurse at Tufts Medical Center and Bournewood Hospital, providing an array of medical, surgical, and psychiatric care to her patients.
She received her master of science degree in nursing from Boston College Connell School of Nursing in 2016, where she specialized in Women’s Health Care. NP Sayegh has maintained a steadfast commitment to serving vulnerable and marginalized populations as a women’s health and primary care nurse practitioner.
Furthermore, NP Sayegh provided extensive Palliative Care to patients in various hospital and community settings. These experiences have been meaningful to Fionna’s work, and she hopes to continue fostering healthy, supportive, and enduring relationships with her obstetric and gynecologic patients across the lifespan.
Keely O'Mara, NP
Keely O’Mara, MSN, WHNP, is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who joined Commonwealth OB-GYN in 2023. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Buffalo and her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis College. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery for 7 years. Helping women during their deliveries led Keely to gain more interest in caring for them during their entire pregnancy and lifespan. She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and empowered to make individualized and informed decisions about their reproductive and sexual health.
Keely still works part time as a Registered Nurse at Brigham and Women’s Labor and Delivery Unit. She also is NCC Certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring.
